I'm so excited to be heading to
Mr Silent, who usually proves me wrong time and time again, is trying to convince me to leave my pretty shoes here while I run around the wonderful shops of London in my scruffy old, waterproof and comfortable boots....'sacrilege!!!'
My head says he's right but my heart can't bear the idea of walking into Browns or
I probably will hide my pretty pair in the bag and before I turn the corner on to

You're right to pack the pretty shoes - the experience would be diluted if your mental image of yourself weren't right. My husband quells my old-fashioned leather suitcase dreams with practicality as well. And I seem to be the owner of one of your lovely scarves and am ever so pleased!
