Oh my gosh, thank you soooo much for posting these! I've seen a couple of these fairytale images and never knew who the photographer was. His work is just stunning! I'm in love! As always, your blog remains one of my favorite places to stop by...you find the most beautiful haunting images.
Jane, Madeleine.. glad you liked these images.. he is such a great storyteller.
Becky, hard to choose a favourite. But I do love the Pied Piper image.
Hope Ava, thank you for your kind comment. I had seen his work before too and just came across him a again a few months ago. I'm also glad to have found the person behind the images
What fairy tale is represented in the photo of the girl on the chaise staring up at the large portrait of that less than handsome man?
I was thinking it was Beauty and the Beast - can someone clarify?
I was reading some of the original Han Christian Anderson fairy tales recently and the are really creepy with questionable moral outcomes, certainly would not read to my kids. The pictures are great though retaining the creepiness...
Kratom, I agree ...the stories are quite dark, but I read them as a little girl and so did all my friends and we have all turned out to be a nice group of adults (I hope) So I guess it's all about the context in which they are read really. I'm glad you like these images..
this is so so so so so wonderful ...
