The word milliner is used and abused..sticking a feather on a fastener or 'diamonti' trimings on a hairband does not make it millinery...
Not much needs to be said about Michael Leong, he is an institution in the Irish fashion industry. The first time I saw images of his head pieces my heart almost bounced out of my body in excitement..and still does. It isn't frequent to see new, ingenius and talented creators in this area.
I can't wait to see who will be the first couturier to commision pieces for a Parisian show.
and it's not a mater of if, but when...

Must. Have. Birds. Hat. Holy cow these are all beyond amazing! I love millinery but didn't know about this fella. Thanks for the introduction.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on millinery, though. What defines it for you and what isn't millinery? (I think I'm one of those stick-feather-on-fascinator-and-call-it-millinery people!)

marvelous architecture to those pieces! there's definitely a distinctive edge and a nod to fantasy there.
